The Mediatrix 2102-10 is a single port FXS gateway that can be connected to a phone or fax, or used as a VoIP line connected to a TalkSwitch line port.

The Mediatrix 2102-20 is 2 port FXS gateway that can be connected to a phone or fax, or used as a VoIP line connected to a TalkSwitch line port.

The Mediatrix 2102-21 is a 2 port FXS gateway to support phones or other analog devices and 1 FXO port used only for powerfail and 911 (or other programmed emergency number) and can connect via VoIP to a TalkSwitch 48-CVA

The Mediatrix 2102 series features voice prioritization over data and innovative IP technology to connect up to two residential phones or fax machines and a PC directly to a broadband modem - without the need for an external router.

Protecting Investment The Mediatrix 2102 can be deployed as a residential IP telephony access device, enabling service providers to cost-effectively and securely deliver VoIP services to their subscriber base. The Mediatrix 2102 connects up to two analog phones and/or faxes, as well as a PC or a home router, to a service provider's network over a single broadband connection. An optional PSTN bypass allows 2102 users to make emergency calls and maintain phone services in the event of a power outage or network failure.

With an embedded PPPoE client and its innovative Transparent IP Address Sharing technology, the Mediatrix 2102 and the PC or router connected to the second Ethernet port have the same public IP address, eliminating the need for private IP addresses or address translation. The Mediatrix 2102 has the additional benefit of supporting high compression codecs simultaneously on both analog voice ports, thus saving valuable bandwidth.

Applications: The Mediatrix 2102 is an ideal, cost-effective solution for bringing VoIP to the home by using the existing broadband connection, and without having to invest in any additional devices. The Mediatrix 2102 is the only device needed other than the broadband modem, to allow service providers to deploy residential IP telephony services.

With the Mediatrix 2102, service providers get the product characteristics allowing them to successfully deploy residential IP telephony applications. The Mediatrix 2102 provides a web interface, giving users a convenient access to the unit for initial set-up. The Mediatrix 2102 can auto-provision by fetching its encrypted configuration file from a TFTP or HTTP server making installation transparent to end-users. To further facilitate deployments, factory loaded configurations are possible. Automatic firmware and configuration file downloads ensure that the 2102 is always up-to-date.
