Adding a Headset Button to an
Allworx IP Phone

How to add a Headset Button to an Allworx IP phone

1. You need to add a Headset PFK to the phone
  • Login to the Allworx admin page.
  • Click the “Handsets” page.
  • Click “View Configuration” above the handset you are working on.
  • Click “Modify” next to Programmable Function Keys.
  • Click the drop down box for the button you would like to use, and choose “Function”
  • Click “Define” for that button and choose “Headset” and click Done.
  • Click “Update” at the bottom of the page.

The phone will need to be rebooted at this point for settings to take effect.

2. Next you can connect the Headset to the port labeled “Headset” on the bottom of the phone.
  • Allworx IP phones use a standard telecom headset port.
  • You should now be able to use the headset by pressing the headset PFK on your phone.

How to connect the TCE Wireless Headset Ringer
