(Allworx 7.5 Feature)
Procedures for Allworx Reach
The Allworx Reach application enables users to send or receive business phone calls from an Android or Apple smart phone or Tablet. This is done by creating a virtual handset on the device, users are able to work from remote locations and continue to send, receive, hold, transfer, and park calls; see the handset’s call history and business/personal contacts; and listen, reply, forward, or create voicemail.
Without creating a handset / utilizing a license, users can manage their voicemail using the Allworx Reach application. All options in the voicemail tab are available including listening, creating, and sending messages.
Note: In order to utilize the app from remote locations, or using your cell phone data connection, you will need to configure the you network to allow connection from the internet.
Setting up the Allworx Server:
If there is a firewall on the subnet between the Allworx and the Internet:
Map these ports to the Fixed IP of the Allworx:
BLF: 2088 (UDP)
SIP: 5060 (UDP & TCP)
HTTP: 8081 (TCP)
RTP: 15000-15511 (UDP)
If the Allworx is in Nat/Firewall with DMZ mode with its own internet connection no mapping is needed.
Next we need to create an Allworx Reach handset
Navigate to Phone System > Handsets
Click on "Add New Allworx Reach Handset"
Assign an owner and Fill in the remaining fields as needed.
Click "add"
Now that we have created a handset profile for the Allworx Reach App We next need to download Allworx Reach from the app store (Itunes / Play).
Once, the app has been downloaded, open the app and Tap on "My Server".
Server Address: Local or Public IP address of the Allworx server
User Name: (Login Name) Found under "Business and Users", Click modify next to the user.
Password: Voicemail Password
Once, the app logs in, you will need to install (reserved) handset, which includes the Allworx reach license. This is found under the "My Handset" section.
The Allworx server is given 1 Reach license upon upgrading to 7.5. Additional licenses may be purchased from our online store.
