We have found adjusting SonicWall routers with the following settings to be helpful. Depending on your network configuration, and the model of the sonicwall not all setting may need to be changed.

- Use the wizard when creating port mappings through the firewall.
- Enable consistent NAT
- Disable SIP ALG and / or SIP Transformation
Additional setting that may need to be adjusted
- Permit non-SIP packets on signaling port
- SIP signaling inactivity timeout (seconds) 1800
- SIP media inactivity timeout (seconds) 120
- Additional SIP signaling port (UDP) for transformations 0
- Disable H.323
- Disable Stateful Packet Inspection
- Set UDP timeouts to be 360 seconds.
