Call appearances can be configured to ring only when a caller come in on a specific number or has been route to department by the Auto attendant. This configuration also work really well for separate entities or companies that share an Allworx Server.
You may have more than one call appernace, you will want to add additional destinations for each call appearance listed. Once, you're finished adding the call apperances as destinations for the extension, all that is left is to do is route calls to the extension.
Call Appearance, Configuration
- Navigate to Phone System > Handsets
- Located the handset you wish to manage
- for each handset click Add Call Appearance
- Modify the description of the Call Appearance to something easily recognizable (E.g Midwest Sales Group)
- Next, navigate to Phone system > Extensions and create a new extension
- Click View Call route next to the new extension
- For "On call from all caller" click modify
- Click add destination and select the "Midwest Sales Group" call appearance.
