Please note: The settings in this KB article are typical setting that we come across, and may require some changes or adjustments based on your SIP provider. We recommend you speak with your SIP provider for their recommended settings.
SIP, Proxy, Configuration, Configuring
- Navigate to "Home" --> "Phone System" --> "Outside Lines"
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on "Add New SIP Proxy"
- Enter a Description E.G. TCESIP
- Enter the User ID (typically the phone number) E.G. 11231234567
- Enter the SIP Server Address (typically it will be a domain name) E.G. PS1.TCESIP.COM
- Enter the SIP Registration credentials, if required. Otherwise uncheck "SIP Registration required"
- Change Active Maximum calls to your SIP account limit. We typically use 16
- Change number of line appearances to 1
- Check send digits as dialed, if needed
- Select the Digits the system is to send
- Select the Default Auto Attendant you wish to use
- Configure the call route for the SIP Proxy
- Click Update
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on "Modify" next to the SIP Proxy you just created
- Enter the caller ID Name
- Enter the caller ID number if needed
- Under advanced settings uncheck "Offer `100rel' support"
- Click update.
