How to add a DID/Routing Plan to an Allworx Phone System

First, you will need to login to the Allworx Admin in a web browser.
 
  • Click "Outside Lines" in the phone system section.
  • Towards the middle you will see Direct Inward Dial Blocks. Click "add new DID block"
  • Enter the phone number in the "Starting phone number" field
  • If you have a block of numbers (numbers must be in order 1234,1235,1236) then enter the total number of phone numbers in the block. If this is a single number, put a 1 in this field.
  • For the DID routing plan, you can either choose Make a new routing plan, or choose one you have already created.
  • Then click Add.
  • Now, back on the "Outside lines" page, scroll down to the Direct Inward Dial Routing Plans.
  • Click Details for the routing plan attached to the new DID.
  • Click Modify next to the Routing plan information.
  • Change the defualt extension to where you would like that DID routed.
  • Click Update.
  • Lastly, you will need to make sure the new DID is activated.
  • If you are using a SIP proxy, on the Outside lines page, scroll down to SIP proxies.
  • Click Modify for the proxy.
  • At the bottom, make sure the box is checked for the new DID, and click Update.
  • If using digital lines, click Modify for line 1. Make sure the box for "changes to all lines" is checked. Scroll to the bottom and check the box for the new DID, and click Update.
