How to Record the Auto Attendant from a Telephone

  • To manage your custom Auto Attendant recordings dial into your Allworx Message center (404 or pressing the messages button twice)
  • Enter your PIN
  • When in, dial option 9
  • Follow the menu prompts to manage the Auto Attendant recordings.
  • The Day greeting will only play when the system is in Day Mode.
  • The Night Greeting will only play when in Night Mode.
  • The Custom message will play at all times.
If you are using the auto attendant in a way that the same message will play at any time, you will want to clear the Day and the Night Greeting, and only use the Custom Message. (EX: Extension list)
  • Press the option 1 to Manage the Day greeting.
  • Press 2 to change the greeting.
  • Right after the tone, press # instead of recording a message.
  • It will then playback the greeting.
  • Make sure you did not catch any background noise.
  • Press 1 to save
  • Repeat steps for the Night greeting.
  • You can then record the Custom Message to be what you would like to hear.
