Removing the Auto Attendant
​Default "Welcome" Message

​To remove the “Welcome” Message from any Allworx Auto attendant, follow these steps.
1. Call into your Allworx Message Center (by pressing the Messages button twice)
2. Enter your password
3. Press 9 to change your message center system settings
4. Press 1 to manage auto attendants
5. Enter the number of the auto attendant to manage followed by #
6. Press 1 to manage greetings
7. Manage greeting 0. This is the Default greeting and has the “Welcome” message
8. Press 2 to record a new greeting.
9. Wait for a half second after the beep; PRESS # to save the recording
The objective is to record a 1 /2 – 1 second of silence in greeting 0, which will remove the
“Welcome” message or whatever message you have saved there from the auto attendant.
