Factory Default the phone
This will help eliminate any previous misconfigurations.
You want to default both the "Local" and "Web" configurations.
Local = Phone GUI
Web = Web Administration GUI
Adding a Polycom Phone to the Allworx System The Polycom should be setup as a Generic SIP phone on the Allworx Server.
When you get the login prompt use:
Name: Polycom (case sensitive)
Password: 456
Configure the screens for the polycom as follows
Make sure to click on "Apply" at the bottom of each page.
NOTE: New version of Allworx software have changed the Login ID & User ID.
All fields must match within the SIP Registration, and type the ID exactly as displayed in the allworx system with or without the ( * )
You must also match the Address, User ID, & Third Party Name in the phones admin page with this same value.

- Login to the Allworx Administration Page
- Navigate to Phone system --> Handsets
- Click the “New SIP Handset” link in the "SIP Handset" section page.
- Assign an extension or assign an owner.
- Select “Generic SIP Phone” from the drop-down list.
- Type “IP Conference Phone” as Description (You Must fill in description)
- Assign temp Login ID and password (ID = 5xxx, password = STRONG alpha numeric) ,
- Select “1” for Number of Lines
- Click “Add” button
- Now that the handset profile has been created note the 5xxx user ID assigned by the server ( e.g. 5100 or *5100)
- Note the Allworx server LAN address (e.g. 192.168.2. 254)
- Handsets page will now show the new phone as a Generic SIP Phone Find the new phone
- Click the “Modify” link
- In the SIP registration section replace the Login ID with the same *5xxx or 5xxx Value and be sure the Password is STRONG and Alpha numeric (E.G. Asd1575892) , select “Update”
- On the phone press the menu button
- Scroll to and select phone status
- Scroll to and select network
- Scroll to and select TCP/IP
- Scroll to and find the IP address (e.g. 192.168.2.65)
- Open a web browser and type in the IP address
